As the Principal of Whole Loan Capital, David Akre has achieved the following milestones: • Architect, Co-Founder, and Co-CEO of NASDAQ New York Mortgage Trust, "NYMT", now Adamas Trust. • IPO in June of 2004. • Ceased NYMT's securitization program in Q1 2006 due to credit concerns. • Took NYMT through the Global Financial Crisis by working very closely with liquidity and financing partners. • Set up loan purchase / securitization programs at three REITs, including NYMT, and Thornburg Mortgage. • Purchased / sold over $20bn of residential loans.
